During our cruise, it may be necessary to change the proposed itinerary and activities due to weather and sea conditions. Your crew will keep you fully informed along the way and will always ensure that your journey is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible we go.

DAY ONE:

Guests board at either Coral Sea Marina or via transfer from Hamilton Island. Whitsunday Explorer begins its journey departing Coral Sea Marina passing through Molle Island group and across the Whitsunday Passage, before dropping anchor at Cid Harbour for the evening, a tranquil and spacious sheltered harbour, one of the largest in the Whitsundays.

Enjoy drinks on the observation deck before settling into the main saloon for dinner with the Captain followed by an itinerary briefing for the upcoming days.

DAY TWO:

Start your day with an alfresco breakfast on the upper observation deck or in the main saloon as we set sail passing Henning, Dent and Hamilton Islands before dropping anchor near Whitsunday Island. Here we board our high-speed rigid inflatable Island Adventurer for a quick transfer to the brilliant white sands of world famous Whitehaven Beach to swim, walk and explore at your leisure.

Jump back on Island Adventurer for a short cruise up to Tongue Bay and the beginning of the Hill Inlet Lookout Track. Here we embark on a short, uphill hike to reach the impressive lookouts atop Tongue Bay's hill, marvel at the marbled ever-changing patterns created by shallow blue water and moving white silica sand.

Refuel over lunch on the Whitsunday Explorer from the morning's activities as we set sail rounding the northern tip of Whitsunday Island to enter Hook Passage. From here we will launch Island Adventurer to explore Hook Island's Nara Inlet including a short walk through rainforest taking us to the ancient rock wall paintings of the indigenous Ngaro people, providing an insight into their 9000 year old culture.

Our final destination for the day is Langford Island – a true gem within the Whitsundays, characterised by a long sand spit that almost vanishes during high tide. It's the perfect spot for snorkelling with sheltered waters and coral systems teeming with vibrant marine life including a large population of green turtles.

Back onboard our small ship freshen up in your room then take in the sunset as we cruise to Long Island, one of the prettiest Whitsunday Islands with walking tracks leading to beautiful secluded beaches, dramatic headlands and dense bush areas. After anchoring at Long Island enjoy drinks and dinner in the main saloon at your leisure, why not treat yourself to a nightcap under the stars on the observation deck.

DAY THREE:

Enjoy breakfast alfresco or in the main saloon. Explore Long Island’s shores and walking tracks at your own pace. A crew member will always accompany guests ashore.

Return to the mother ship for a leisurely return cruise to Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach arriving 11am or transfer back to Hamilton Island arriving at 10am. Here our crew will assist you in disembarking and transferring your luggage to the Coral Sea Marina terminal building to connect with transfer vehicles or taxis.
