This is a sample itinerary and during our cruise, it may be necessary to change this due to weather and sea conditions. Your crew will keep you fully informed along the way and will always ensure that your journey is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible we go.
DAY ONE:
Check-in is at Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach between 3:00pm & 4:00pm.
Guests confirmed to travel from Hamilton Island will be booked on to a ferry service from Hamilton Island Airport Marina or Hamilton Island Marina to the Port of Airlie, with a connecting transfer via taxi to Coral Sea Marina.
On arrival at Coral Sea Marina, please make your way to ‘Meeting Point C’ at the marina’s south end of the terminal, where a member of our crew will be greeting guests and commence check in from 3pm.
Whitsunday Explorer begins its journey departing from Coral Sea Marina at 4:30pm, passing by North Molle, South Molle and West Molle Islands. We will then cruise through the wide channel known as the Whitsunday Passage, before dropping anchor in a sheltered Whitsunday Island's bay for the evening.
Enjoy a drink on the observation deck as the sun sets before settling into the main saloon for dinner with the Captain, followed by an itinerary briefing for the upcoming days and a chance for some stargazing on the upper observation deck.
DAY TWO:
Start your day with an alfresco breakfast on the upper observation deck or in the main saloon as we set sail and cruise through the Whitsunday Islands. We will drop anchor again off Whitsunday Island where you’ll be transferred ashore for an unforgettable experience on the world-renowned Whitehaven Beach. This 7km stretch of pristine white silica sands is regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Rejoin the Whitsunday Explorer for a well-earned lunch and then we’ll weigh anchor and head towards Chalkies Beach on Hazelbook Island for the afternoon. This island boasts a white sand beach, picturesque shore walls and coral ecosystems, perfect for snorkelling.
In the late afternoon we will cruise to a sheltered bay to enjoy another stunning Whitsundays sunset followed by dinner at your leisure from 6 - 8pm.
DAY THREE:
Take in the views of the Whitsunday Islands while enjoying breakfast in the main saloon between 7- 9am, before a leisurely cruise to Coral Sea Marina. We will have you back at Airlie Beach at 11am where our crew will assist you with disembarking and transferring your luggage to the Coral Sea Marina terminal building to meet transfer vehicles or taxis.
Guests confirmed to return to Hamilton Island will be booked on a transfer via taxi to the Port of Airlie to connect with a ferry service to Hamilton Island.
